Pullbox Previews Bad Future, volume 1- A dystopian look into a future we may very well see, coming soon to Kickstarter

THE FUTURE LOOKS DARK
BAD FUTURE – VOLUME 1 Takes a Noirish Look at the Future

Los Angeles, CA – Climate change, corporate oligarchy, A.I.-takeover, toxic social media. These days, imagining the future can be downright bleak.

But it’s not all bad. Even in the direst of dystopias, hope exists for those who know where to look.

Independent and mainstream comic creators have come together to launch BAD FUTURE, a new anthology that collects five bold visions bringing Dick’s sci-fi noir and Gibson’s cyberpunk into the modern age.

“Science fiction, for all its wondrous and preposterous elements, has always been a mirror held up to ourselves.” notes contributor Ben Crane. “It is a fun-house mirror, to be sure, which distorts and distends, but in that transfiguration it also reveals who we are.”

“With the world becoming more dystopian, it imbues these stories with a new relevance. The emotions feel more raw and relatable,” adds series editor Andy Nordvall.

Contributors include Andy Alves (Cosmic Cadets, Rapture Burgers), Ben Crane (Cosmic Cadets, A Man of Lies), Arthur N. Ebuen (©alifornia, Inc., The Simpsons, Futurama), Hiorsh Gabotto (Cruz Leon), Phillip Ginn (Finale, Wolf Punks), Kaj Kunstmann (Cthulhu is Hard to Spell, Warhead), Dave Law (The Space Odditorium, Wrong Magnetic Poles) and Andy Nordvall (Nightmare Theater 3-D, Siren’s Song)

The campaign for Bad Future, Volume One will launch in April 2025 and continue for 30days.

Many of the creators of BAD FUTURE will be at WonderCon 2025 in Anaheim, CA exhibiting on the convention floor and participating in panels.
