Fire magic gave birth to monsters and shattered the world. 100 years later, an old chronicler tries to save it by telling his stories.
“While We Burn“ is a series of short dark fantasy stories in a comic format, set in the medieval world consumed by monsters and darkness.
4 short stories – that’s what will be included in the first issue of While We Burn. All in the same universe, all connected to each other, but at the same time – all telling different tales.
While creating them, the main task was to keep the quality of a classic comic story and adapt it to a shorter format, while preserving interesting characters and making each one unique and memorable.
Every reader can find a short story that sounds interesting to them, read it, and afterwards decide if they want to follow along the whole adventure, since every story stands on its own. Immerse yourself in a violent and dark fantasy with deadly monsters and not-so-deadly humans and solve the mystery of why the world has gone dark.

“Tavish. The Survivor” is the first story included in While We Burn #1. Setting the dark tone for the whole series, it tells the story of a man, a warrior, a survivor who is tired of surviving in the world full of monsters.
What can happen to someone when survival is the only meaning left in their life? Emotional drama filled with introspection and search for meaning of existence.

In the second story of While We Burn, you’ll meet Eric, a legendary thief on a quest to steal an artifact in order to save everyone. What happened to the world if thieves are the ones saving it now?
“King of the Night” is an action/adventure story, with a fast-paced narration, filled with introspection and the drive of the moment.

The third story included in While We Burn is “Pray”, and it tells a grim tale about faith. Can it be enough to survive a horde of monsters that is about to break in and swarm a godforsaken church?
Filled with dramatic and surreal experiences and ideas that play with higher concepts beyond our reality, accompanied by unique hand-drawn and colored visuals, this story tells a different kind of tale. One that messes with your brain.
