Welcome to Vauratis.
A land plagued by darkness.
A realm conquered by Syphon, The Starving King.
The most ancient and powerful arcanists fled Vauratis, abandoning the people to the terror of The Starving King, choosing instead to seclude themselves in order to protect the Dawn Tree—the source of all magic.
Syphon’s minions—his grotesque creations known as The Hunger—invade the land, and oppress the people, stealing magic from the remaining arcanists.
All hope seems lost.
But there are those who fight back: Unlikely heroes with interesting methods.
