The Rosemont Public Safety Department Honored Lou Ferrigno As An Honorary Public Safety Officer At Wizard World Chicago Sunday August 21
WHO: Wizard World, Inc., and the Rosemont Public Safety Department swore in Lou Ferrigno (the one and only Hulk) as an honorary Public Safety Officer in an official ceremony on Sunday, August 21 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
Wizard World President and CEO John Maatta and Executive Vice President and COO Randy Malinoff joined Chief Don Stephens, Head of the Rosemont Public Safety Department, as they declared Ferrigo an honorary Public Safety Officer. Ferrigno has spent over 12 years as a Deputy Sheriff with the Los Angeles Sheriff Department and the San Luis Obispo Sheriff Department, and is also a Reserve Deputy for the Delaware County Sheriff Department in Delaware, OH.
Chief Stephens detailed Ferrigno’s longtime support of the police force, noting how both of he and Ferrigno’s fathers were also policemen. After the official swearing in ceremony, Ferrigno received his own badge and spoke about the important community impact of the Rosemont Public Safety Department.
