In his new book, Blockheads: The First Comic Strips & Graphic Minis, (which you can support on GoFundMe & Patreon) Author and cartoonist, James Lee addresses issues like addiction, miseducation, discrimination due to incarceration, and other blocks relatable to those who’ve lived in heavily crime invested street blocks, cell blocks, or those of us who struggle with blocks in our own heads.
Blockheads is based on the story of a family living in the inner city of St. Louis, who struggles with the incarceration of their patriarch Ali, the hardship of poverty, and the influences of the streets.
During his incarceration, Ali has a life-altering moment and finds a deeper connection with “God”. It then becomes his mission to convert his family and those around him to his newly found faith and help them all get over their blocks.
