Pullbox Spotlight on Dungeons & Dragons- The Saturday morning classic is alive & leveling up at IDW!

Long before the world turned upside down and new generations discovered D&D, six kids boarded a magical roller coaster and were transported to the Forgotten Realms! Noble ranger Hank, intrepid acrobat Diana, quiet thief Sheila, impulsive barbarian Bobby, fearful and cavalier Eric, and uncertain magician Presto only want to get back to their own world. But escaping the Realms has turned out to be much harder than getting there! Danger lurks at every turn, the enigmatic Dungeon Master is less than helpful, and Venger, the force of evil, will stop at nothing to get his hands on the magical weapons the kids have come to rely on. To top it off, Hank has made a startling discovery: Despite the dangers, Sheila, Bobby, Diana, and the others aren’t so sure they want to go home after all!

Bards David M. Booher (Canto) and Sam Maggs (Rick and Morty Ever After) join artificer George Kambadais (John Carter of Mars) for a thrilling “lost episode” that charts new territory in the world of D&D. Dungeons & Dragons aired on CBS in 1983 and ran for three seasons with 27 episodes, but premature cancellation meant crucial scripts went unproduced. Yet, it still made an indelible impression on its audience, and legions of D&D players recall it fondly to this day.

Do you ever wish summer could last forever? Well, at IDW, it can! We’re bringing you an endless summer with everyone’s favorite characters in four unique one-shots! Presto, Sheila, Hank, Bobby, Eric, and Diana have been trapped in the Realms for months now, and they’re exhausted. They’ve also missed out on their entire summer vacation back home! So when they find a beach more pristine than any back on Earth, they’re more than happy to take a load off and enjoy the sand and surf. But when Eric finds a baby dragon, the kids find out that even a short summer can be very, very hot!

Some time has passed since the team’s adventure in Waterdeep. Now Dungeon Master is growing weaker with an unknown ailment, and while thoughts of returning home are never far from their minds, the team must save their mentor and friend. Sailing between planes in their Spelljammer, the party finds themselves on the swashbuckling Sword Coast. With Venger closing in and pirates blocking the way forward, can our heroes cure Dungeon Master before it’s too late? Eisner-nominated writer David M. Booher (Canto, Killer Queens) and Ringo-nominated artist George Kambadais (Gargoyles) are back to kick off a massive plane-hopping quest featuring brand-new locations and some very familiar faces never seen in cartoon form!
