Machine-breaking, monopoly-busting, history-bending fiction! Rage of Enlightenment is a take on the industrial revolution and the current tech boom/bubble, but instead of boring people talking about all that stuff, I’ve got rad insects living it!
A community of insects with a dung-based economy, grappling with the unethical business practices of a business owner seeking to destroy his competition by any means necessary, and the growing faction of desperate rebels trying to stop him from destroying their way of life. Toss in some satire and issues surrounding automation, surveillance, creativity, pride, family, and community, and you’ve got Rage of Enlightenment.
In the unlikeliest of settings, writer/illustrator Cory Kerr is tackling the state of things today with a sharp eye and a sharper tongue. This is the kind of comic that could only come from the indie world, and I think we’re all the better for it.- Paul (me), thePullbox.com
