So, as I’ve said about earlier issues of this book, I like everything about this book. The art was good, clear, and well hip. The story was good, but the strength was that the characters were well written and believable. I mean as much as a bunch of mutants with time stop, shape changing and psychic abilities can be…and oh yeah time traveling ghosts. This is a character driven story in the classic X-Men mode.

Here’s my problem, though. “6 of 6”. No, this is not an obscure Star Trek reference. This is supposed to be a six issue mini-series. I like those. 6 tidy issues, all story lines, character development and morals wrapped up in one tidy package.

Problem here was it was a cliff hanger, the door clearly left open for another mini-series. Now, my problem with that is if your going to write a 12 issue or 18 issue story, don’t make it a mini-series. But if that doesn’t bother you, pick it up. A quality book with stronger than average characters and great art.

B+ Overall. B for story, A for art. D for stupid, money grubbing editor tricks.
