She-Hulk #32

She-Hulk #32 (Marvel – David / Cucca / Acunzo / Ciardo)

Okay, we know that Jazinda, She-Hulk’s fellow bounty hunting partner, claims she’s not part of the alien invasion…but can you ever trust a Skrull? Especially one that’s the daughter of the infamous Super-Skrull? Months of accusations and mistrust come to a boil as our gamma-powered glamazon leaps into this year’s biggest event!

I really don’t know what to say.  This is the legend Peter David writing this book.  The Peter David! And you know what…. It tanks!  I have always been a Shulkie fan and ever since Peter David took the reigns, the stories have been boring, drawn-out (to sell copies no doubt) and just not up to par with anything Dan Slott was doing with this book.

It’s like Peter David has created a new character and series rather than tying into what has come before.  Don’t fool yourself, this is one of those Secret Invasion tie-in books that is independent of the series and not needed for any sort of big SI picture at all/  And the new artists?  GG studios that consists of Cucca, Acunzo, Ciardo and Monni?  They would be awesome if you were really into your comics looking like still work from the Cartoon Network’s Ed, Edd, and Eddy… but I don’t.  This creative team (writer and art-team) has now made me drop this book.

This is a lot like the “Tenth Circle” storyline that John Byrne did for JLA for his big “comeback”, I really wanted to like it, but I couldn’t… because that sucked too!
