WWC: Angus Oblong

If there was one person at Wizard World Chicago who defines the phrase “independent artist”, it is Angus Oblong. Angus is the creative mind behind the aptly named “The Oblongs”, an animated series that aired on the WB in 2001. While it didn’t get the air time it should have, The Oblongs have gotten quite the cult following, it still airs on Adult swim and is available on DVD.

Angus, despite his unusual style and charm, still had gobs of fans surrounding him, buying his books and art by the armful. Oblongs fan get to rejoice this fall, because they get to visit HillValley again. Coming this year will be the Oblong Halloween special. Should be something spectacular, intelligent and offensive…. But then again that is Angus’ way. You can learn more about him and visit him here!
