1985: Haunted

On Sat at WWC, Marvel presented a panel on the ramifications of Civil War… and while they did talk about that, it was where they introduced 1985: Haunted by Mark Millar and Tommy Lee Edwards. 1985 is the sequel to Secret Wars (totally ignore the less than average Secret Wars 2), before a fanboy blows this off, this looks like a very fresh angle for Marvel.  Looking at the preview art, 1985 is tying into both the creation of the Marvel Universe (by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby) and when Dr. Doom briefly stole the god-like powers of the Beyonder in Secret Wars… the current Marvel villains find a world where superhumans don’t exist (presumably the real world). Millar said out of all of the work he has done, he is most proud of this project and it is Mark’s prediction that it is this book that will make Tommy Lee Edwards a superstar.
